My thoughts are exactly this:
I went on a date tonight instead of watching. The 2012 BCS National Championship game was the first championship game I have missed since the BCS’ inception and by the looks of things, I made the right choice.
After 5 field goals struck by Alabama kicker Jeremy Shelley and his golden boot, you have to wonder if Nick Saban is going to do his best to recruit Lionel Messi to the team to win it all again next year in such invigorating fashion. Who needs touchdowns when you have the Earth’s foremost ball striker?
Best explaination of tonight’s game in quote form? “They are who we thought they were.” Thanks, Dennis.
In a game which many picked as a repeat of the original, we got exactly that. Defense and field goals. My passing eye judgement may seem shallow but is it really?
By the time Trent Richardson ripped off a 34-yard touchdown run the game had already been decided by Alabama’s defense and the foot of a kicker.
So this is the end of the 2011-2012 college football season. There are *only* 200+ days until next season but several coaching changes in the Pac-12 have already provided this offseason some spark.
Like last year, I will post mostly links on major news and some pictures here and there but let me tell you…the 2012 regular season cannot come soon enough.
And just for fun, here is my prediction for the 2012 Pac-12 Conference Championship game: USC 38, Oregon 34.
I am more news/opinion oriented with football and this blog and twitter is more up that alley. If there is someone out there that would like to be responsible for posting pictures, leave an ask and I will respond to you as soon as I can. Thanks for following and lets get ready for bowl season!
